Vietnam visa: re-entry and multiple entry

If you want to leave the country in between, for example to visit the temples of Angkor in Cambodia, you can simply apply for a new 30-day visa and re-enter Vietnam after approval. For a multiple-entry visa, you must currently use the e-visa procedure.

If you are in Vietnam without a visa and wish to leave the country, you can also re-enter the country with a further 15-day residence permit with no minimum interval from your last entry.

Important information about your passport

A passport that is valid for at least six months is required. The Federal Foreign Office even recommends that your passport should be valid for six months beyond the date of your departure in order to prevent possible problems at individual border crossings.

Vietnam visa for children

Since 26 June 2012, children's entries in a parent's passport have lost their validity. For this reason, children travelling to Southeast Asia require their own passport and therefore a separate visa.

How long is the processing time for the Vietnam e-visa?

The processing time is usually only around three working days. Our customers have already confirmed this fast and uncomplicated processing time several times.

What does an e-visa cost?

Unfortunately, the prices for the visa are not listed on the embassy's website. However, you can find this information on the official page for applying for the e-visa. The fee for a visa with a validity of 90 days is 25 USD.

All information is without guarantee. Please check with your local Foreign Office before travelling, as regulations can change at any time.
