Notes on visa exemptions:
- Citizens of Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Russia, Japan, Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Belarus can enter the country visa-free for 15 days. This visa waiver program is valid from March 15, 2022 to March 14, 2025.

VISA INFORMATION FOR VIETNAM
For passport holders from Belarus, Brunei, Cambodia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Norway, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Thailand and the United Kingdom Visas are not required for 14 or 30 days.
Citizens from the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy and Spain do not need a visa for visits up to 15 days.
Vietnam offers an e-Visa service, which costs $ 25 and takes 3 working days.

Tourist visas are valid for 30 days and can be extended after your arrival in Vietnam. Fees and requirements vary from Embassy to Embassy; about 50 US dollars in Bangkok and 85 US dollars in Washington. Tourists who make a detour from Vietnam to Thailand, Cambodia and Laos can apply for a double entry visa.
Visa on Arrival
You do not want to send your passport? Then the Visa on Arrival might be something for you! This visa is applied for online at an agency. With the help of a Invitation Letter,the letter of invitation and a list of names as well as some more documents (2 passport photos, printout of documents and appropriate Visa fee), you can receive on the spot on arrival in Vietnam, her visa at the counter.

FOR GERMAN CITIZENS
If you travel up to a maximum stay of 15 days in Vietnam, you will travel visa-free until 14.03.2025. No invitation letter is necessary anymore. Please note that the visa-free entry can only be used if at least 30 days have passed since the last stay in Vietnam.
Visa application (for a stay of more than 15 days or for a multiple entry)
A tourist visa is usually issued for four weeks for single or multiple entry. In the case of a planned multiple entry, which does not include 30 days between the first departure and the second entry into Vietnam, a visa for the second stay must be requested. You must also carry a passport valid for 6 months after departure. The granting for a longer period and to the two or more times entry is possible with appropriate application and presentation of further documents for a higher fee, according to information from the Vietnamese Embassy. An extension or change of the validity of the visa in Vietnam is possible. With a valid visa, the foreigner is allowed to enter Vietnam via any official border crossing (airports, ports and land routes, ie the borders of Vietnam / China, Vietnam / Laos and Vietnam / Cambodia). Child entries in the passport of a parent are no longer valid. Every child needs its own identity document. Visa at entry (for a stay of more than 15 days)

Visa application for German citizens
FOR AUSTRIAN CITIZENS
