DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN HANOI

Your Vietnam Angkor Wat tour starts right on Airportwhere your guide receives you with a cool drink.

Vietnam's capital is a city of lakes, shady boulevards and public parks. Especially the "Lake of the Returned Sword" (Hoan Kiem Lake) surrounded by beautiful trees, old colonial buildings and parts of the old town is a favorite place for Hanoi of all ages.

After moving into your hotel, you will be able to use the afternoon freely. After a long flight, relax with a massage or stroll through the charming Old Town streets and through the tree-lined streets of the colonial district. You spend the night in the center of Hanoi.

DAY 2: CITY TOUR HANOI

On today's city tour you will see the famous sights of Hanoi. You drive to Ba Dinh Square to visit the Presidential Palace. Of course, a visit to the Hoan Kiem Lake and the Jade Mountain Temple (Ngoc Son) with the striking dragon heads should not be missed.

The afternoon starts with a walk through Hanoi's nostalgic Old Quarter, past small temples and busy streets.

In the evening you can experience a presentation of the famous water puppet theater on request. Here you can follow everyday scenes from the Vietnamese life - the (Miss) fortunes of rice farmers and fishermen, for example - or just from the history of the country.

Be enchanted by the dazzling tales and stories from Vietnam. After the eventful day, stay at your hotel in central Hanoi.

DAY 3: HANOI - HALONG BAY

After enjoying your delicious breakfast, leave Hanoi for Halong Bay. Enjoy the sight of farming areas and let the day-to-day Vietnamese village life pass by. Arrived in Halong City, board your beautiful cruise ship.

You will experience the fascinating nature in this picturesque environment very relaxed and will take different stops on small stops. While you enjoy your dinner, you will experience a charming sunset over the bay.

DAY 4: HALONG - HANOI - PHONG NHA

Wake up in your own cabin in the morning, open the window and listen to the sound of the waves. After breakfast, explore the caves and enjoy a kayak ride along the streams.

After lunch, check out of the boat. Drive to Hanoi airport for an evening flight to Phong Nha.

DAY 5: PHONG NHA - PARADISE CAVE

The day begins with a visit to the spectacular Paradise Cave, the most beautiful cave in the National Park, where you will be amazed by the huge cave system and impressive formations.

It is fascinating that this is just a short stretch of the Hang Vom Cave system, which extends more than 30 km through the National Park.

The highlight of the day is Hang Tra Ang. This cave was opened to the public in August 2016 and is untouched by any development. After a short walk through the jungle, you will be provided with lunch by the porters, before you venture into the cave and explore with a helmet, a headlamp and a life jacket.

DAY 6: FASCINATING PHONG NHA

Use the bicycles (or optional car transfer) and cycle to the Phong Nha Cave boat station. There you can take a boat trip to Phong Nha Cave.

Phong Nha Cave is a majestic river cave and was the first cave in the area opened in 1997 for tourists. The second cave above the Phong Nha cave is called Tien Son. It is a smaller cave. The 400 steps leading to the cave will reward you with spectacular views of the surrounding area and peace and quiet.

Before leaving, you'll be briefed on the sights in the cave and the surrounding area in an English-language briefing. With a bit of historical knowledge, this trip is doubly worthwhile.

In the afternoon you can relax by the pool or explore the nearby river by kayak or canoe

DAY 7: DEMILITARIZED ZONE & IMPRESSIVE TUNNEL SYSTEM VINH MOC

After a hearty lunch, make your way to Hue. On the way visit the demilitarized zone that separated North and South Vietnam after 1954. Here you can visit the famous tunnel system Vinh Moc and get a memorable impression of the Vietnam War.

In the tunnels, the residents found refuge and a hiding place in the war. Bunkers and military cemeteries are memorials of the former battles. Then you arrive at Hue and are taken to your hotel.

DAY 8: TOUR THROUGH THE EMPERIAL HUE

We begin our one-day private tour of Hue City with a visit to Thanh Toan Bridge, a thatched-roof wooden arch bridge with unique architecture, located 8 km southeast of Hue City.

Then we drive to Gia Long Kings Tom, founder of the Nguyen Dynasty. The Gia Long Tomb is located in a remote mountainous area, quite far from the city center and still offers a peaceful atmosphere, poetic landscapes, ancient tombs and majestic buildings.

Afterwards visit the imposing imperial citadel. Admire Hues' glittering past as the capital of the Nguyen Dynasty. Short trip to An Hien Garden House, considered the most beautiful garden house in the ancient capital of Hue.

In the Thien Mu Pagoda, you have the opportunity to admire the enchanting beauty of the Huong River.

DAY 9: TRAVEL FROM HAI VAN CLOUD PASS TO DA NANG

Today you will experience a fascinating train ride over the clouds pass to Da Nang. The so-called cloud pass with a height of 496 meters and a length of 20 kilometers offers one of the most breathtaking views of the entire country: Right falls off the land to the sea, left towering up to 1,000 meters high mountains in the sky, the weather divide in Central Vietnam forms.

On the way you stop in Da Nang, where you will be picked up and continue to Hoi An.

DAY 10: DISCOVER HOI AN

This morning you will visit the temple city of My Son the Cham, whose ruins are located about 50 km southeast of Hoi An.

The temples of My Son have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999 and is one of the highlights of your Vietnam Angkor Wat tour.

My Son was the religious center and one of the most important places in the Kingdom of Champa in Vietnam.

The construction of the Cham, without mortar the bricks seamlessly put together and the magnificent ornaments are unique in Southeast Asia. You have time to explore the ruins in a beautiful, green hill and river landscape.

In the afternoon, relax on the beach of your hotel.

DAY 12 -13: DAY SPA STAY IN HOI AN

DAY 13: ARRIVAL IN SAIGON

The bustling metropolis of Saigon abounds with energy, activity and movement. Everywhere you look you can see the confluence of traditional and modern life.

DAY 14: SAIGON

Begin with a tour of the historic center, such as the ornate town hall (Hotel De Ville), the old opera house, and visit the neo-Romanesque Notre Dame Cathedral and the central post office.

Then it goes on to the War Remants Museum, which documents extensively the torments of the long Vietnam War with numerous, original exhibits. Inside, there are detailed photographic exhibits, while outside there is a collection of tanks, planes and weapons.

Continue to Cholon, the Chinese district of Saigon, in the afternoon.

DAY 15: MEKONG DELTA

You will be picked up in the morning and the day trip to the western Mekong Delta begins.

On your arrival in Cai Be, take motorboats to the floating market in Cai Be and watch the locals sell fruit and many other goods on their ships.

Visit a small family business to see how coconut sweets and crispy rice popcorn are made. Stroll in small villages and visit orchards accompanied by traditional South Vietnamese folk music. Then paddle through a series of small canals to experience the charm of the Upper Mekong Delta. Arrival at Tan Phong Island, the green pearl.

DAY 16: SIEM REAP ANGKOR WAT

In the morning flight from Saigon to Siem Reap.

Upon arrival in Siem Reap, you will meet your tour guide and we will start to discover the ancient temples and ruins that are next to the town of Roluos.

In the late afternoon we drive to Phnom Bakheng to climb the temple on the hill and enjoy the breathtaking sunset views over Angkor Wat and the Siam Reap landscape.

DAY 17: ANGKOR WAT

Visit Angkor Wat and let the explorer run free as you explore the ancient ruins of Beng Melea, a forgotten and lost jungle temple on the edge of the Angkor Complex.

The actual history of the temple remains a mystery, it is believed that it was built in the 12th century. Completely overgrown by the jungle, the temple seems eerie and deserted. There are fantastic photo motifs of trees sprouting from the towers, walls covered with dense green moss, and tree roots caught in the crumbling structure.

There have been no restorations and some parts of the temple are not yet accessible, but a large promenade with observation decks surrounds this magnificent temple
