Frequently asked questions (FAQ) about Nha Trang

When is the best time to visit Nha Trang?

Nha Trang has its own microclimate. The best and sunniest time to visit is from February to the end of August. Unlike the rest of the country, the main rainy season here starts late in the year, with October and November being the wettest months (with occasional typhoons).

The months from March to May and September to November offer very pleasant temperatures and clear visibility. The absolute „golden season“ for photographers is from late May to mid-June, when the rice fields in Tam Coc are a brilliant yellow just before the harvest.

Definitely. The shallow, warm water and good visibility in the Hon Mun Marine Park offer perfect conditions for snorkellers and beginner divers. There are excellent, certified dive schools here to obtain the PADI diving licence.

  • Special microclimate: Compared to the rest of the country, Nha Trang is exceptionally well located and remains largely spared from the strong monsoon winds.
  • Warm all year round: The city offers a warm, pleasant climate for almost the entire year, without the typical months-long rainy season. It is only in late autumn (October/November) that it rains noticeably more often.

How to get to Nha Trang ?

  • Excellent transport links: The region has excellent transport links and is easily accessible via the nearby Cam Ranh International Airport (CXR) and the railway station (Reunification Express).
  • Private Premium Transfer We are happy to organise a stress-free, private VIP transfer directly from the airport or railway station to your beach resort.

The right time to visit

  • The ideal time to travel (January to September): We warmly recommend these months. Bright sunshine and daytime temperatures between 26 and 32 degrees Celsius offer the perfect conditions for a beach and diving holiday.
  • Restricted travel period (October to December): During these months there is a short rainy season. Sudden showers and a partly rough sea must be expected.
