The Ho Chi Minh City Museum, which was built in 1885 and was once known as the Gia Long Palace, is dedicated to the history of the city in a building that, with its varied history, would have deserved its own museum - if only the walls could speak.

The Fito Museum in Saigon is the first museum dedicated to traditional Vietnamese medicine. Almost 3,000 artefacts from the Stone Age are on display. The exhibits include tools for making medicines, knives, mortars and pestles as well as documents and objects from a traditional pharmacy.
